I hated my Shay before I did this conversion. I
dreaded getting in the car. I dreaded driving the car. I dreaded getting
out of the car. I was ashamed to let anyone drive the car.
Poor leg room is a reason Shays are hard to sell and have
poor resale. The Shay is a better car than an original Model A but
sells for $10,000 less.
My
shay has increased thousands of dollars in value. I now have a great car.
I love my Shay.
The shay 2 x 4 under the seat cushion trick is
not my cup of tea. Try selling the car with a 2 x 4 tucked under the
seat and try to explain it to a prospective buyer.
This is
a ''Great Weekend Project'' that a novice can
easily accomplish and get professional results.
